. . . October 5, 1869 - We all left Cardiff by the railway, myself and wife and five children viz. Ephraim, Dan, Annabella, Clara, Elizabeth, Florence, Augusta. Arrived in Liverpool late the same day. About eight o'clock in the evening went on board the steamship Minnesota>. The same night bound for New York.
6th - Left Liverpool about noon. Had a tolerable good passage. Arrived in New York the 17th. Started by the cars on the 18 for Ogden, Utah.
