Dear Brother Jaques - We weighed anchor last evening at 5.10, and proceeded down the river all in jubilant spirits, with the prospect of soon reaching our beloved mountain home. We had not proceeded far before some [p.606] commenced to cast up their accounts. The Saints feel well, and I trust that we shall have a pleasant and happy voyage.
May the blessings of Israel's God attend you, also President Eldredge, in which all the brethren join.
