Elder C.A. Ek, who was appointed to take charge of the company of Scandinavian emigrants who sailed from here on the City of Berlin on the 23 ultimo, writes to us from New York on the 2nd instant, as follows:
"We landed at the docks at 11:30 a.m. today, where Brother J. H. Hart met us, and arranged matters so that none of our trunks were opened. Will leave tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. We are all well, and thankful to the Lord that we are again on land. When we look back on our journey, and consider the season of the year, we think we have had a quick, pleasant and agreeable trip. We have been treated kindly in every respect. Nobody has shown us any disrespect whatever, although it was known who we were." [p.731]
