"SAILED -- The good S. S. Wisconsin sailed on the 19th instant, as advertised, with a goodly company of Saints, numbering, including returning elders, 482 souls. Elder H. G. Park was appointed to preside, with instructions to complete his organization, which will be published when his advices arrive from Queenstown. It almost seems that every succeeding company are ahead of their predecessors, but whether or not, this was a very spirited and lively company, full of music and song which burst out from time to time as the favorite and faithful steamer rode at anchor in the river. When the time for separation arrived hearts too full almost for utterance, gave way, tears of joy from both departing and returning parties flew thick and fast, while the song 'Cheer, Saints, Cheer We're Bound for Peaceful Zion,' swelling from a company led by some brass instruments made such melody as the Saints love to hear; amid waving handkerchiefs and hasty farewells, separation was accomplished, and soon was lost in the distance as warm hearted and lively a company as ever sailed form Babylon for home; may the God of Israel hold them in his keeping, and bring them there in safety and in peace.
The following returning elders sailed with the company: -- Hamilton G. Park, W. W. Taylor, J. McFarland, James Mellor, Thomas A. Wheeler, E. D. Woolley, junior, Samuel
Leigh, John Parry, S. S. Adams, junior, J. C. Sandberg, K. H. Brown, and Job Rowlands, who had been on a visit among his friends.
The following traveling elders form the Scandinavian Mission also left for Utah, their first time: -- F. J. Jensen, N. P. Overgaard, Jens M. Hensen, Thomas C. Williamsen, and O. E. Skoglund.
Brother Robert F. Stewart and Sister Christina Samson, from 42, Islington, went with the company."

". . . The second company of this season's Latter-day Saint emigration from Scandinavia sailed from Copenhagen, Sep. 13, 1877, per steamship 'Argo,' according to appointment, consisting of 211 Saints, under the leadership of Elders John C. Sandberg and Knud H. Bruun, returning missionaries. The embarkation took place in good order and without any disturbance, and at 5 o'clock p.m. the 'Argo' sailed from the wharf, while the Saints on board sang farewell hymns and cheered as the ship left the harbor. The leave-taking of the emigrating Saints with their friends and relatives who were left behind and indeed most impressive, and tears of both joy and sadness flowed freely. After a successful voyage over the North Sea the 'Argo' arrived safely in Hull, England, on Monday, Sept. 17th. The journey was continued the same day to Liverpool, where the Scandinavian emigrants, together with about 260 British Saints and ten returning missionaries, went on board the steamship 'Wisconsin,' which sailed from Liverpool Sept. 19th and arrived in New York Sept. 30th. Elder Hamilton G. Park was appointed leader of the whole company, and Elders John C. Sandberg and Knud H. Bruun acted as his counselors. From New York the journey was continued the same day (Sept. 30th) by rail, and the emigrants arrived safe and well in Ogden and Salt Lake City, Saturday evening, Oct. 6th. The Scandinavain emigrants were, on their arrival, given a reception by their fellow countrymen, who had prepared a supper for them in the large hall in which the Scandinavian meetings were held in Salt Lake City. The company which had arrived in Salt Lake City the previous July was given a similar reception.
