The next morning the tug pulled us out into the ocean and we set sail. After being tossed on the ocean nearly seven weeks, we landed in Castle Garden, now Manhattan, New York. After staying there two days and two nights we started on our journey through the states coming to St. Joseph, Missouri on the 4th of July.
