“Wednesday, Feb. 4 . . . Releases and Departures - -The following named missionaries have been honorably released and took passage for St. John, N.B, per s.s. ‘Victorian’ on February 4th, 1914: From the British mission – Thomas E Briggs, George F Wells, George Duffin, Semon A Golding, Ernest W Carter, George Hay, Albert L Flitton, William E Moss, Edsel H Adams, Verner A Powell, Cyril Duffin. From the Scandinavian mission - -Parley H Johnson, George D Peterson, Ole A Wold, Simon Christensen. From the Netherlands mission – Frank F Pyott, John J Sanders, Martinus Barton. There was also one honorably released lady missionary, Rachel P Duffin, from the British mission. A company of emigrants, numbering twenty-seven was also on board, in charge of Elders Thomas E Briggs, Cyril Duffin, and William E Moss. (Mill.Star, 76:112).” [BMMH,1914].
