On this day (March 19, 1958) the ship Empire which had sailed from Liverpool, England, Feb. 19, 1858, with a company of returning missionaries and a few emigrating Saints, arrived safely at New York. Following is a list of the missionaries and emigrants as they crossed the ocean distributed in different cabins which are named; all those marked with a star (*) are returning elders:

Cabin No. 4: F. Furnes, (not a member of the Church), Eliza Furnes, Marico Stevens, Ann Roberts, Margaret Eardley, Mary Kirk.

Cabin No. 5: Daniel Davis*, Daniel Page*, William Brown*, Eli Wilken, William Dallen, Mark Bergess, Thomas Phillips, William Kersdell.

Cabin No. 6: Isaac Higbee*, William Pace*, Joseph Bodell, William England, Robert Roulet. William G.
