On board S. S. Wyoming, Queenstown, May 4, 1890.President George Teasdale
Dear Brother,--As you are already aware, we left the Alexandra Dock yesterday, at 10 a.m., and after we got fairly started, we undertook to rearrange the berths allotted to our company, and the Saints now are comfortably located. The ship's [p.299] crew and stewards are very considerate of the comfort of our people. Towards evening, yesterday, a pretty heavy sea caused considerable sickness amongst the Saints, but now they are all well, and have a chance to recuperate for a few hours.
We arrived here about 6:30 this morning, and are now awaiting the London mail, so we will remain here till about 2:30 p.m. All is well, so far as I know, and every one seems to be pleased and satisfied. We hope to have a prosperous voyage, and feel to dedicate ourselves to the Lord and ask for his protection.
With kindest regards to yourself and co-laborers, we remain, as ever,
Your brethren in Christ,
