New York, July 10, 1890.President George Teasdale.
Dear Brother,--We arrived here safe this morning, after a somewhat eventful voyage, the details of which we will forward later on, together with a description of the route overland. The treatment we received from all the officials on board the Wisconsin was truly excellent, and we feel deeply indebted for it. The steerage emigrants are now about to be examined by the emigration commissioners, and we trust all will be well.
We feel deeply grateful to God for his care extended over us on sea, and trust in his goodness for a similar blessing on land.
Praying the Lord to bless you and all at dear old "42," [42 Islington WAS THE ADDRESS OF THE BRITISH MISSION IN LIVERPOOL] we subscribe ourselves your humble brethren in the gospel,
