"THE FIFTH COMPANY. -- The fifth company of this season's emigration left Liverpool on Saturday, June 28, 1890, per Guion S. S. Wisconsin, Elder Abraham Maw in charge. There were 108 souls, 5 returning missionaries -- Elders W. L. Stewart, H. H. Thomas, John T. Kay and James H. Newton -- total 113. George F. Phillips, of the Millennial Star office, and Joseph Whiteley, accompanied the returning missionaries on their way to Zion. James Johnson who has been on a visit to his friends, returned with this company. This was a British company, but it included 21 from the Holland Mission."

"Sat. 28. [June 1890] -- The steamship Wisconsin sailed from Liverpool, England, with 113 Saints, including five returning missionaries, in charge of Abraham Maw. The company arrived in New York on the 10th, and in Salt Lake City July 16th. A woman died on the railway journey."
