". . . A company of 122 emigrating Saints and seven returning missionaries, bound for Utah (the 65th emigrating company), sailed from Copenhagen Oct. 19, 1883, on the steamer 'Milo,' in charge of Hans Jorgensen. The other returning elders were: Peter S. Sherner, Christian Poulsen, Niels Larsen, Anders Jonson (from St. Charles, Idaho), Jorgen Daniel Olsen and John Wink. After a stormy voyage across the North Sea, the company arrived late in the evening of the 22nd in Hull, England, and the next day took train for Liverpool. Here the emigrants were lodged in the 'Temperance Hotel' until the 27th, when they embarked on the steamer 'Wisconsin,' together with some British Saints, and sailed from Liverpool in the evening. After a rough voyage, caused by unfavorable and stormy weather, the ship arrived safely with its precious cargo in New York, Nov. 7th. On the following day (Nov. 8th), the journey westward was begun on the railway and the company arrived safely and well in Ogden in the evening of the Nov. 14th. The following day at noon the south bound train brought that portion of the company to Salt Lake City, whose destination was in that direction.
Twenty emigrating Saints, in charge of Elder Mikkael Andreas Faldmo, sailed from Christiania, Oct. 20, 1883, bound for Utah. Among the emigrants were Sister Anna K. G. Widsoe, a widow, with her two children (John A. and Osborne J. P.). Elder Faldmo had labored over two years as a missionary in Norway. His little company of Norwegian Saints joined the larger company from Denmark and Sweden in England, and with them crossed the Atlantic on the S. S. 'Wisconsin,' which sailed from Liverpool Oct. 27, 1883. . . ."
