“Thursday, Aug. 12 . . . . Releases and Departures - -The following missionaries have been honorably released and sailed for home to-day per .s.s. ‘Laurentic.’ From Great Britain - -Ralph B Sperry, John I Gledhill, John Martin Jr., John S Mason, Lewis O Clark, Thomas Alston Jr. From the Netherlands – Paul Zijsling. From Switerzland and Germany - -Edward C Hoff, Oscar C Hunter. From Sweden - -A Willhart Schade, John O Peterson. From Scandinavia - -Niels N Busk, Niels P Nielsen Jr., Axel C Neilsen, Andrew H Andersen, Jacob J H Jensen, Joseph C Schaugaard, Henry Danielsen, Samuel Christensen, Joseph P Johansen, James Brown. With the elders wer forty-nine emigrants in charge of Elder Andrew H Andersen, Lewis O Clark, and Paul Zijsling being his assistants. Among the passengers on the ‘Laurentic’ to-day were Elder Robert Aveson and daughter Florence who arrived on June 1st on a visit to relatives. They have met with cordial reception , and now return in good health and spirit. (Mill.Star, 71:510).” [BMMH,1909].
