“Saturday, Oct. 9 . . . . Releases and Departures - - Elders Ralph H Ludlow and George A Parry of the British mission have been honorably released and sailed for home October 9th, 1909, per s.s. ‘Celtic’ The following named missionaries have been honorably released and sailed for home to-day per s.s. ‘Cananda’: From Great Britain - -Richard Jefferies, Edward Sawley. From South Africa- - Thomas R Wilks, George W Simons. From Scandinavia - - John G Hansen, Soren R Nielson. From Sweden - -Gustave W Gunnarson. From Norway - -Aurelius Thoresen. With the company were forty emigrants, in charge of Elder Richard Jefferies, assisted by Elder Soren R Nielson and Thomas R Wilks. (Mill.Star, 71:654).” [BMMH,1909].
