“Thursday, November 17. . . .The steamship ‘Furnssia’ sailed from Glasgow, Scotland, with 31 emigrating Saints (11 Swiss, 7 Scandinavian, and 13 British) and 18 returning Elders on board, bound for Utah. The names of the missionaries were: Jedediah Stringham, president of the company, Theodore Nystrom, Wm. [William] J. E. Albrand, J [Joseph] W. Stringfellow, Levi G. Richards, W. P. Ostler, Jesse W. Knight, Jennie Brimhall, John H. Ford, Wm. [William] E. Clark, David Bagley, Edward C. Rich, Vincent Pugmire, Thos. [Thomas] Bennett, Wm. [William] R.
