“Saturday, September 16. The ship ‘Alaska’ sailed from Liverpool with 107 Saints on board, bound for Utah. The company consisted of 85 emigrants (24 from the British, 44 from the Scandinavian and 17 from the Swiss and German Mission), 6 returning visitors and 16 Elders returning from missions, namely, Ole Sorenson, Jr., Christian P. Larsen, Martin Nielsen, Wm. [William] G. Blackman, Hans A. Pedersen, Nephi Anderson, Arnold Schulthess, Ernest Keil, John McQueen, Thos. [Thomas] Fleming, James H. Salisbury, Samuel C. Chadwick, Frank M. Castleton, Levi John, F [BLANK SPACE] D. Roberts, and Edwin A. Stratford. The names of the returning visitors were: Miss Jensen, J. W. Sanders, J. L. Bunting, Elizabeth Sheets, D.
